Vous vous dites : la joie de croire c'est bien joli... mais on voit tellement de souffrances, d'injustices, de malheur, qu'on peut se demander ce que fait le Bon Dieu... Je comprends votre interrogation, et je vous apporte la réponse qui me semble la meilleure, puisque c'est celle de Jésus-Christ au Jugement dernier : « Ce que vous aurez fait à l'un de ces petits qui sont mes frères, c'est à moi que vous l'avez fait » Et il énumère : « J'avais faim, j'avais soif, j'étais étranger, j'étais nu, malade, j'étais en prison » (Mat 23, 36 et 40) Au final, Dieu nous demande de nous aimer les uns les autres, puisque nous sommes tous enfants de Dieu.
Ce que nous disons avec la grande prière que Jésus nous a donnée : le Notre-Père. N'est-ce pas cela la fraternité universelle qui devrait être le pilier de nos lois et de nos pratiques quotidiennes ? Exactement. Et je prie pour que la lecture de cet ouvrage vous aide à accueillir la vraie joie de croire, d'espérer et d'aimer. Comme le Pape François nous le dit : « Avec le Christ Jésus, la Joie de l'Évangile naît et renaît sans cesse » (La joie de l'Évangile).
Et cette joie, si belle soit-elle, ne sera que le prélude d'une Joie éternelle, mille fois plus belle encore. Gloire à Dieu au plus haut des cieux !
